ANECDOTES AND CURIOSITIES:
Driven by the talent and skills of the "blue tulip" Ruud Krol, Napoli in the 1980/1981 season obtained a good third place, cradling championship dreams up to the internal challenge against an already relegated Perugia, lost 1-0 with an own goal by Ferrario, at penultimate day. In the 1985/86 season, Napoli, also thanks to the moment of uncertainty of the Milanese and Roma, was Juve's only antagonist during the first 10 days. The Juventus team, after 8 victories in 8 league matches, stopped at the “San Paolo” stadium on the ninth day. Diego Armando Maradona interrupted the sequence of victories of the very quick "old lady" thanks to a wonderful free kick, scored against the laws of physics, on November 3, 1985.

On 11 June 1989 the third to last day of the Serie A championship is played. Napoli is on stage at "Cino e Lillo Del Duca" in Ascoli. This match will go down in history due to the attacking debut of Raffaele Di Fusco, a professional goalkeeper. A Napoli full of absences goes to the Marche with only 14 players, including the second blue goalkeeper. At 79 'Careca is injured; Ottavio Bianchi has already thrown into the fray the only player of movement available and so, with the number 16 and in the role of striker, Raffaele Di Fusco enters.
