ANECDOTES AND CURIOSITIES

After 22 years, Juventus switched from Kappa to Lotto, but in the first season the brand was not present on all the shirts and was replaced by the Ciaoweb logo, the digital portal of Fiat. The market brought David Trezeguet to Turin, fresh winner of the European Championships with his golden goal in the final against Italy. Juventus, however, did not win the Scudetto, won by Totti's very strong Roma, and was quite disappointing in the cups.

ANECDOTES AND CURIOSITIES

Sampdoria wore Ennerre from 1980 to 1988 while it received Phonola sponsorship from 1982 to 1988. The Phonola sponsor was the first official sponsor to appear on the Sampdoria shirt, and in those years the blucerchiati achieved important successes. Under the presidency Mantovani, in fact, Sampdoria after two decades had a new success bringing home the Coppa Italia in 1985, winning it twice in the eighties and also centering a European Cup Winners' Cup final but losing it to Barcelona.
