The 81/82 season is perhaps the one that gave life to the fierce rivalry between Juventus and Florence. The star Antognoni had a serious injury that almost made him risk his life. Fiorentina, however, was able to recover and fought until the last day for the Scudetto where it arrived at equal points with Juve.
